Burnham’s engineering team will work closely with the customer’s manufacturing and technical groups to ensure requirements are adequately defined and achieved. Materials and processes for tooling are selected after careful analysis of operational envelope (temperature/pressure), tolerance, coefficients of thermal expansion, service life, configuration, schedule, and budget.
Burnham utilizes CATIA, and other CAD software, to support the customer’s needs when manufacturing parts and assemblies, and/or when designing tooling structures. Concurrent design/build practices and customer milestone approval processes are utilized in order to reduce delivery schedule and ensure customer satisfaction. Design deliverables may include Model Based Definition (3D) or 2D engineering drawings.
